One day, on New Year’s Eve, the weather was extremely cold. The friends were gathered thinking about celebrating the new year. The rabbit said, “The weather won’t give us the opportunity to play outside. The weather is extremely cold. It’s better to return to our homes.”
But Nmour appeared suddenly, wearing clothes similar to a magician’s clothes given to him by Karim Amin. Nmour spoke with great happiness and said, “Today is very suitable for me to present the dangerous magician’s show.” The rabbit said, “This weather won’t give us the opportunity even to enjoy any show.” Nmour replied to him, holding his hat and said, “I promise you, Rabbit, that you’ll feel warmth throughout my show that I’ll present. Look at me, I’ll bring out a tiger from my hat.”
Nmour searched in his hat and indeed brought out a long tiger tail from his hat. The rabbit felt anger because he had uncovered Nmour’s trick—this tail was Nmour’s tail himself. But everyone applauded Nmour and laughed at what he had done. The rabbit said, smiling, “I know the secret of this trick Nmour performed.” After that, Fajla stood up and wanted to also play the role of magician.
He held a round-shaped cake his mother had baked and said to the rabbit, “What do you think of me holding you by this circle in the middle of the cake?” The rabbit said, “You won’t be able to do that, of course.” Fajla said, putting his hands in the middle of the cake and holding the rabbit, “Nothing is impossible. I’ve held you from the middle of the cake as I promised you.”
All those present laughed, and after that Winnie the Bear stood up and wanted to present his own magical trick. He took Fajla’s cake and said to him, “I’m going to do a very beautiful trick. I’m going to hide this cake now in the blink of an eye.” He put the cake in his mouth and began tasting its delicious flavor. The rabbit shouted and said, “Everything you’re doing isn’t magic tricks.” Nmour said to him, “Yes, they aren’t real magic tricks, but the real magic is the price you paid for your warmth.” The rabbit said, “You’re right. I won’t allow the cold to deprive me of good times in your company from now on.”
