There was a weaver living in a village. He was a simple man who wove clothes every day from morning to evening. This was his means of earning his livelihood. But his spindle had become old. One day, while spinning clothes, his spindle broke, and it’s difficult now to make a new spindle, so we need to gather wood. The weaver took his axe and headed to the forest. The weaver saw many trees, but none of their woods pleased him, so he continued walking until he reached a dense forest. There he saw the sissoo tree.

The weaver liked the wood of that tree just by seeing it. He thought he could make a strong spindle using the sissoo tree and might use it for many years. When the weaver was preparing to cut the wood, he heard a voice speaking from the tree saying: Wait, my son, don’t cut this tree. I live here. The weaver said: Oh, master of the forest, I am a very poor weaver. My spindle broke, and if I don’t cut the tree, how will I make a new spindle? And if I don’t make a new spindle, how will I weave clothes? And if I stop weaving clothes, how will I earn my livelihood and that of my children? I cannot let my wife and children die of hunger.

Seeing his love for his family, the master of the forest felt sorry for him and said: Oh, my son, you don’t need to cut this tree. I was moved by your story, so I will grant you a wish. Ask for what you desire. When he heard these words, the weaver felt great happiness, but he felt confused in the next moment. The weaver said: Oh, my master, I will return now to consult my wife and friends.

The weaver returned to his village and met his friend when entering the village. The weaver told him the truth and asked him: My friend, what is the wish I should ask from the master of the forest? His friend said: Ask the master of the forest to build you a kingdom. You will be the king, and I will be your minister, and then we will live in happiness forever. The weaver felt comfortable with his friend’s suggestion and said: My friend, you are right, but I will consult my wife. He said to him: Why do you ask a woman about this matter? Don’t you know that women cannot think?

The weaver said: I don’t think like that. I don’t make a decision without returning to my wife. After this speech, the weaver went and said to his wife: What is your opinion? She said: Do you think your friend is smart? How can any person ask for a kingdom? With the kingdom come problems. Mr. Rama went to the forest because of his kingdom. She said: What will you do with a kingdom? The weaver asked: Then what should I ask from the master of the forest? She said: You can weave one piece of clothing per day, so ask him to give you two heads and four hands so you can weave two pieces of clothing per day.

The weaver agreed to his wife’s suggestion and returned to the forest. When he reached the sissoo tree, he said: Oh, master of the forest. He said to him: Tell me, my son, what do you want? The weaver answered: Yes, my master. Give me two additional hands and an additional head so I can work more. The master of the forest smiled and said: Let it be what you want in this moment. The weaver thanked the master of the forest and returned happily to his village, waving his four hands. When he entered the village, the villagers were amazed. The villagers thought the weaver had turned into a demon. They said: It would be better if we killed him. The villagers started beating him with stones until the weaver died from the beating.
