Four buffaloes lived inside a forest and didn’t separate from each other. Because of their unity, all the animals felt fear of them. Among them was the tiger, who whenever he tried to attack them, saw them together and would leave disappointed. He kept thinking and saying to himself: “How do I attack them when they are always together?”

One day, the four friends thought of a plan. One said: “I heard about grass more delicious than this. What do you think, friends, of going to taste it?” They began their journey searching for the grass. On their way, the fox saw them and felt extreme fear. He ran immediately, but they didn’t notice anything. After walking and playing, they reached the grass. The walking caused them to feel extreme hunger.

Before they began eating, one said: “I have an idea. Let the greedy one stand there to guard us while we eat.” This one said: “This isn’t fair. I’m hungry too.” Another said: “You will eat for a long time, so you’ll eat after us. We will remain guarding you.” This one said: “I’m not your servant and won’t wait for you. We are all hungry.” Another said: “Yes, yes, he is right.”

So he said to him: “Then you go.” He said to him: “Who do you think you are? Don’t order us like this. If I annoy you, I will leave. You control us.” He said to him: “Then I will leave. I don’t need all of you.” They all felt anger toward each other and didn’t realize that the tiger had been following them and wished that a quarrel would happen between them so each would become alone, and he could attack him. The tiger sat watching them happily and said to himself: “Oh my happy luck. I will attack them one after another and eat them.”

After the friends had completely separated from each other, the tiger followed them. He attacked them one after another and killed them all, eating them all. When the buffaloes were together, no one dared approach them, but when they scattered and separated, they paid the price for this with their lives. As they always say: In unity, there is strength.
