The Tailor Lady suffered greatly from her mischievous children. They would race, play, climb the mountain, roll down the hill, jump from walls, and scatter water around them. They exhausted her greatly. One would say to her: “Mom, sew the pants for me.” Another would say: “Where are my socks?” The mother could no longer bear their mischief, so she ordered them to sleep.

“Woe is me, I will lose my mind.” The Tailor Lady was not a successful woman in managing her household affairs. Spiders were nesting in it. She said: “How do I clean my house while taking care of mischievous children?” The Tailor Lady looked at the spiders and said: “Someday I will remove you all.” But the spiders said: “What if we told you that we will send her a girl to help her named Pearl the Weaver.”

Suddenly, a small girl appeared before the Tailor Lady. She was sitting on a chair near the window, and the wool piece she was working with was the size of a pumpkin. The Tailor Lady said to her: “Oh Pearl, you are wonderful. In an hour, you finished knitting the sock.” Pearl continued working. She had to knit 12 socks. She said to the Tailor Lady: “You and the children sleep. Leave me to work. You must wake up early tomorrow.” When the twelve brothers and the mother woke up, they found 12 thick woolen socks on their beds. The mother came and said: “Hurry to food.” Pearl said: “If you want me to knit a sweater for each of you before night, you must hurry.”

The children raced to the field to shear the sheep. The wool fell from the sheep like snow. Now they had to wash the wool, dry it, then spin it. The children carried the wool to Pearl the Weaver. She said to them: “Cut the threads for me.” Of course, the children didn’t argue because they were busy with work. They said: “We are productive and work actively.” The youngest said: “We must work to provide wool.” The Tailor Lady decided that today was for cleaning, but she couldn’t remove the spiders. Hadn’t the spiders sent Pearl the Weaver to her? What would the spiders do if she angered them?

Pearl came and said to her: “What do you think of holding the needles a little?” She said that knitting was easy, as if the needles were accustomed to knitting. Suddenly, the Tailor Lady realized that Pearl was no longer with her. She looked at the spiders, and they laughed, but she was absorbed in her work and didn’t notice anything.
