The story of the wise parrot is a purposeful and interesting story that teaches the child to always expect the best and not to give in to sadness when exposed to sad situations, but rather patience and optimism are one of the secrets of happiness in life.

Story events:

One day there was a parrot living in the forest, and this parrot was very beautiful, as he had colorful wings with delightful colors, and he lived happily with his small parrot brother, who also had distinctive colors.

One day a hunter came to the forest, and he saw the beautiful parrot and his brother. He thought to himself and said: What beautiful and attractive parrots these are! I will catch them and give them as a gift to the king. So the hunter extended his net toward the parrots and caught them.

The hunter gives the parrot to the king:

The hunter went to the king and said to him: Look, O king, what a beautiful gift I have brought you. The king looked at the parrot and was very happy. Their beautiful colors would increase the palace’s ornamentation and beauty. The king thanked the hunter and gave him a thousand coins as a reward.

Royal care for the parrot:

The king ordered his servants to put the parrots in a golden cage and care for them. The parrots were happy with that royal treatment and the great care for them, as the most delicious foods were presented to them. They became a source of attraction for everyone in the palace, and the little prince loved to play with them every day.

The hunter brings another gift to the king:

After several days, the hunter came to the king and said to him: Look, O king, what a beautiful gift I have brought you? The king looked at the monkey and was very happy. The monkey was jumping, clapping, and making funny movements. The king thanked the hunter for his beautiful gift and gave him a thousand coins as a reward.

The monkey becomes the center of attention of the kingdom:

The monkey made amusing movements, so everyone in the kingdom gathered around him. The monkey became the center of attention of the king, queen, little prince, and servants, and everyone in the monkey, and the servants presented the most delicious food to the monkey.

The small parrot feels sad:

The small parrot saw the attention of young and old to the monkey, and he and his brother were no longer the focus of attention. There were even many days when the palace servants forgot to put food for them. The small parrot felt extreme sadness and cried.

The wise parrot:

The older parrot saw his brother crying from the neglect of the kingdom’s people toward them, so he said to him: There is no need for sadness, O little one. Days change, and nothing remains in the world forever. We must be patient and not surrender to despair. Life is a mixture of enjoyable days that we enjoy, and we will face other days when things do not go as we wish. But we must be patient until the beautiful days return again.

The king orders the monkey to be expelled from the palace:

One day the little prince was playing and having fun with the monkey. The monkey hit the little prince and caused him injury. The king ordered the servants to take the monkey out of the palace and return him to the forest. On the next day, the monkey was in the forest.

Truly, the bad days have now ended for the small parrot, and he felt happy again. The little prince returned to playing with the parrots, caring for them and presenting them with the most delicious food and drink. They returned to being the focus of attention of the kingdom’s people. The large parrot told his small brother that he must realize that time changes and temporary circumstances change, so we must be optimistic and patient.
