The crow lived on one of the trees of the farm. He enjoyed flying every morning and eating fruits from the farm from fresh fruits. One day, the crow heard the cawing of a hawk from the hunter’s gun. So he flew far away, he and his two brothers. They stood on one of the tall trees and thanked God for their safety, despite the hunter’s shots being close to them.

The crow learned that the hunter would keep coming to the farm, and therefore they would not be able to find food there again. The crow was sad that he would not find a beautiful farm like the one he used to live in. So the crow flew, feeling severe hunger. He looked down and saw a group of doves that the farm’s owner provided them with a lot of food. So the crow said: “Oh, what a hungry poor guy you have, food, and fodder that eat you a lot!”

The crow approached the doves and looked at them with longing, wishing he could fly like them. A dove heard the crow’s wish, became frightened and flew. When the farm’s owner heard the cawing of his dove, he saw what was happening and the crow approached them in fear, and the crow fled away from them, sad because he could not eat the doves’ food.

An idea occurred to the crow, that he would try to turn his appearance to the appearance of the doves, but not by washing with water like the milk so that no one would discover his trick. So he saw a worker in the houses carrying white flour that would not wash it with birds. So he flew toward the flour vessel and covered himself with it and came out white like the doves, and the black feathers were completely white. The crow rejoiced and he had become like the doves for everyone.

The crow returned to the doves’ home, sat eating food with them, without anyone discovering his matter and his white trick until evening, the crow that had become white slept and rejoiced because the farmer had not discovered his matter. In the morning, the crow began his day as if he were one of those doves.

The crow felt as if he was eating and enjoying without the trouble of searching for food and escaping. One day, the doves told him that they would go swimming in the way of the village and that they should be careful when the hunter comes. One of them went on a fishing trip. The crow flapped his wings with joy to learn about his agreement, that a scary thing would happen in his discovery of his matter.

The doves saw some of the black feathers under the crow’s wing, so they understood that the crow had deceived them, so they shouted and turned him away. So the crow flew away and saw his two brothers gathering and playing. He approached them, but they did not know that it was the crow because he was of the same color as them. So they refused to include him with them and tried to convince him, but without success.

The crow was sad and went toward the well to try to swim, and he could not wash the white color from himself, and the two doves refused to leave him because he would cause them many problems, as the hunter would think they were a crow and would come toward them shooting at him, and the crow fled alone and he could not live with the doves or with his two brothers.

Moral of the story: To teach the child that every human being has his own quality, and that he should not imitate anyone, for he will be disappointed at himself always, but that he should be content with himself and he will find good success in his turn to others without any reason.
