Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Rasha. Her hair was always messy, and she wore torn clothes and worn-out shoes. She lived in an old house with her parents. They often went to sleep hungry. Despite that, she never complained. She was characterized by striving to improve her life and her family’s life. Sometimes Rasha would share food with her favorite friend Jad, whose family was also poor. He would do the same as her when food was available to him.
One day, Rasha was on her way to visit Jad’s house, carrying some bread slices with her. While walking, she saw something shining on the road. She picked it up. It was the most beautiful bracelet she had ever seen in her life, colored with all colors. She ran quickly to Jad’s house, gave him the food, and told him about the bracelet matter. He said to her, “Perhaps an angel dropped it for you.” Rasha returned home and told her parents about the bracelet. They looked at it in amazement. It seemed very precious, so they even suggested selling it to get some money. But Rasha didn’t listen to this speech.
She said to them, “I don’t love selling it. As much as I wish to get out of poverty, this bracelet is the first wealth I obtained. Please, Father, don’t deprive me of it.” But that night, she felt guilty for refusing to sell the bracelet and wanted to help her parents. The next day, she hurried to Jad’s house and told him what her parents had said and that she was thinking of selling the bracelet. He said to her, “That’s a good idea. There’s no harm in keeping it without benefit.” He told her he could accompany her to the market to sell the bracelet.
On their way, they passed by the house. She told her parents she had decided to sell it. Her parents were happy about that and embraced her with all love. She went to the market and wandered among people to display the bracelet. But most people continued on their way without paying attention to them because they looked dirty with unkempt hair. Others fled from them.
It seemed people didn’t believe the bracelet was valuable, and their miserable condition increased the inability to convince anyone that the bracelet was unique. Rasha and Jad stayed in the market all day without being able to sell the bracelet. Rasha felt frustration and severe sadness. Weeks and months passed without benefit. No one bought the bracelet. One night, Rasha forgot to remove the bracelet from her wrist as she did every night before sleeping. The bracelet suddenly started glowing and remained so throughout the night.
The first thing she did upon waking was searching for the bracelet on her table where she was used to placing it, but it wasn’t there. It was very faint. She got up to search for it, but her room seemed different. The bed was soft and had blankets. She looked at it and was surprised it was a long bed covered with silk sheets. She was wearing beautiful clothes. She found in the place of her old shoes a pair of pink shoes on the floor of beautiful carpeting.
She opened her room door to go to her parents and found a long staircase. She descended to them, feeling astonishment and anxiety. Her parents were standing at the bottom of the stairs with wide smiles on their faces, wearing the most beautiful clothes. But when she reached them, they were surprised and said, “You’re very beautiful.” Then the father said, “We woke up this morning and found that everything in the house had changed. We are rich, my little princess.” She said, “How did all this happen?” Then she noticed the bracelet was still in her hand and was lighting the way, which wasn’t the case at night. They were amazed by what their eyes saw. She said, “Could the bracelet be the reason?”
How strange that the bracelet everyone rejected turned out to be priceless wealth.
