Our beautiful Arabic language, oh children, consists of twenty-eight letters. It is distinguished from other languages by containing a letter that has no counterpart in any other language, which is the letter Dhad. Therefore, the Arabic language is called the language of Dhad. The letter Dhad is the fifteenth letter of the Arabic alphabet, and it is a solar letter. It can be found in many words, including officer, frog, hyena, fog, ablution, and many other words. We will tell some stories of the letter Dhad.

The Story of Ziyaa and the Frog: One day there was a small boy named Ziyaa. Ziyaa went out in the morning to play in the garden of his home and enjoy the beautiful warm sunlight. He saw a large, bulky frog sitting on his beautiful swing. Ziyaa got angry with the frog and said to him, “Come on, get away from my swing because I want to sit on it.”

The frog replied to him, “I won’t leave here before you say words that start with the letter Dhad.” Ziyaa laughed and said to him, “This is an easy task. I am Ziyaa, and my name starts with the letter Dhad.” The frog got angry and said to Ziyaa, “I don’t want other words.”

Ziyaa said: “Molar, hyena, harm, and now you are causing me harm because you are sitting on my swing.” The frog didn’t care about Ziyaa’s words and said to him, “I want more words that contain my favorite letter, the letter Dhad.” Ziyaa said, “I’ll tell you about my father’s profession. My father is an officer. By the way, my father will arrive home soon, and he will arrest you and put you in prison.”

When the frog heard this, he got scared and ran away. Ziyaa laughed and played on his swing.

The Story of Duha and Sports: My name is Duha, and I love practicing sports very much. But unfortunately, I was exposed to an unfortunate accident while practicing my favorite sport, which is running. I fell on the ground while running, and my leg suffered bruises. My teacher Radwa came to rescue me, cleaned my leg, then used a bandage to bind my leg, and then showed me to the school doctor, who gave me medicine and an injection called an antibiotic. She said to me, “Taking the medicines on time is a necessity.”

When I returned home and my mother saw me, she embraced me to her chest and cried. I said to her, “I’m fine, Mother. My teacher bandaged my wound, and I will recover soon, God willing. I will take the antibiotics on time so that no harm befalls me.” My mother embraced me again, laughing, and said to me, “Praise be to God, oh my daughter, in prosperity and adversity.”

The Story of the Hyena and the Forest Animals: The forest was full of animals, both large and small, as well as birds, insects, and frogs. All the animals lived in the forest happily and laughing. The hyena came and saw them laughing, so he said, “I will spoil their times.” When the animals heard him, they got angry and went to a man living in the forest named Dahi and asked him, “What should we do with the hyena?”

Dahi said, “Dig a hole for him.” They executed his words, dug a hole, and covered it with large branches. Then they went to the hyena and told him, “The rabbits are standing there at the large branch and are bothering us.” The hyena rejoiced and said, “I’ve got a delicious lunch,” and ran toward the rabbits, fell into the hole, and the animals laughed and ran away happy.
