Lady Timon felt extreme loneliness because she had not given birth to children yet. One day she went out to the farm, and kept crying as she planted plants, wishing she had a child to alleviate her loneliness. Lady Timon finished her farm work and returned to the house.
The Green Ghost Visits Lady Timon: In the evening, she heard a heavy knock on the door of the house. She hurried to open the door and found a huge ghost, its color green, and its eyes golden. Lady Timon was frightened and kept trembling, so the ghost said to her: there is no need to fear me, just listen. I know you want a child and I have come to help you achieve your dream, but with one condition, which is when the child reaches the age of twelve years, I will return again and take him from you.
Lady Timon hesitated initially from this strange condition, then agreed. The ghost gave her a golden cucumber seed, and requested her to bury it in the farm for two weeks, until it grows, then cut it in half and you will see the result.
Lady Timon Gets a Baby Girl: Lady Timon went in the morning of the next day and planted the golden cucumber seed, and watched it for two weeks, until she found it had grown into a huge cucumber fruit. She carried it to the house and cut it in half, and found inside it a very beautiful baby girl. Lady Timon rejoiced and kept singing and running in the town, telling her people that she now had a child after a long wait, and years of loneliness and sadness.
The Green Ghost Visits Lady Timon Again: The child grew up and twelve years passed, and she became a big and beautiful girl. One day she returned to her mother sad, because the children of the town refused to play with her and called her the ghost’s daughter, so her mother requested her not to pay attention to those superstitions.
Lady Timon told her daughter not to go out to play with these children again. Lady Timon sat in the house with her child, and they were having dinner together, until she heard a heavy knock on the door of the house. Lady Timon hurried to open the door of the house, and found the green ghost visiting Lady Timon again.
He said to her: how are you Lady Timon? Do you remember the agreement that was between us or did you forget? Lady Timon replied with deep sadness and said: please my master, do not take my child, for she is small in build and her body is thin, she will not be an ideal food for you, but you must return after two years when she becomes larger in size, and her meat will be more delicious. The green ghost agreed to this agreement and left Lady Timon’s house.
The Magic Bags: Lady Timon sat telling her child the secret of the green ghost, and promised her child that she would not let the ghost take her, no matter the cost. The next day, Lady Timon went out and went to the town wizard.
Lady Timon requested from him to find a solution for this ghost who threatens her, so he gave her a group of magic bags, and requested her to use them upon the ghost’s return again, and promised her that those bags would help her get rid of the ghost when he returns again.
Getting Rid of the Green Ghost: Lady Timon told her child to keep those bags with her until the green ghost returns. Two years passed, and while the child was playing in the farm, the green ghost appeared to her, so she was afraid and kept running towards the forest.
The green ghost was following her, so she remembered the magic bags, so she threw the first bag, and found seeds that fell on the ground and turned into fruit. When the ghost ate it, his size became smaller, but he kept running behind her also and the matter did not succeed.
She decided to use the second bag, and when she threw it at the ghost, the seeds turned into sharp thorns, and the green ghost collided with them and was injured with many wounds and kept bleeding a lot of blood, but he kept running behind the child while bleeding.
The child decided to use the last bag, and when she threw it, it turned into embers of fire that burned the ghost completely. The child felt relief and reassurance, and ran quickly to the house, and told her mother what had happened. Her mother did not believe that she got rid of the green ghost, and that she would live with her child, and nothing would separate them now.
