If you have a certain goal, you must strive from the sake of achieving it in the shape you desire, and enjoy the elevation of your spirit with what you have achieved of goals, overcoming all obstacles that face you during your pursuit in reaching your goals.

And perhaps the fabric merchant this has learned this matter and knew that he must overcome difficulties for the sake of winning and achieving the success he desires, and that is his story.

It is told that there was a man working in the field of fabric manufacturing specialized for riding animals, and he took from that manufacturing trade for himself, earning from it a good halal. This man was named Hamza, very diligent in his work, and he loved him severely because he had learned that manufacturing from his father, may God have mercy on him, since he used to sit beside him to learn from him while he was still a small boy.

Hamza used to teach his son all the details of manufacturing those fabrics, so he did not wish only for him to present assistance heading to him in the best possible way, and he used to always remember the saying of God Almighty the Most High (And say work, so God will see your work and His Messenger and the believers, and you will be returned to the Knower of the hidden and the manifest, and He will inform you of what you were doing) [At-Tawbah: 105].

That noble verse used to make Hamza extremely diligent, and he was executing his work with sincerity, waiting for the owners of riding animals every year once. They used to come to him to obtain fabrics for the saddles of their riding animals, each according to his needs and what he wanted.

Hamza went to the market of merchants as he was accustomed every year to sell what his hands had made of fabrics of beautiful shape. But he became angry and extremely sad as soon as he arrived, for when he went to the market, he learned that another merchant had descended to the market before him and sold the fabrics to the owners of riding animals, and therefore the man had lost his source of provision for a complete season.

Hamza sat not knowing what to do, for he had lost his mind, and his worry was with him, not knowing what to do with it, and he began to think while extremely sad, and people from around him were mocking him and laughing at him, especially from the owners of riding animals and everyone who passed by him.

Hamza was sitting hearing insulting words that hurt him severely, but he was in the state of sadness, one of the passersby said to him a word that he wanted with it to anger him, so Hamza paid attention to her and worked with it! That saying was you can manufacture from them saddlebags oh this, and sell them then. He began to laugh severely at his foolish words.

Hamza’s mind returned to him to exploit what had happened and turn it to his good, and indeed Hamza took the fabrics of the riding animals and returned with them to his small house where he works. Then he began to convert those old fabrics into saddlebags!

Yes, Hamza did what a wise man said to him, and he was working until he perfected it. He manufactured several saddlebags of beautiful colors and descended with them to the market again, and began to call out to his passersby that they were beautiful saddlebags and from strong fabrics that made them good for the owners of riding animals and the quality of their work.

Everyone turned to the merchant Hamza, and indeed his product was very good and at very reasonable prices, so he sold them completely until they ran out from him. The owners of riding animals began to request from him that he manufacture for them different shapes, so Hamza did what they requested and brought to them again with his product to sell his product completely.

People began to flock to Hamza and offer to him their requests for the sake of executing them, and here Hamza began to work and sell his product twice with food, and not one time only as he used to do, so his trade succeeded and his sales increased, and he began to renew and develop himself and his work, so he won everyone’s love for what he made.
