Fasting in our merciful religion, means abstaining from desires, all kinds of foods and drinks, the breaking of the fasting person, from the food of his stomach and that is from the time of breaking the fast until he recovers with a sincere intention, for the sake of God the Most Gracious.
And fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam, for it is from the foundations of the religion that God Almighty has commanded us with, and God the Most Gracious and His Noble Messenger, peace be upon him, have reported from him that it is an obligation for every Muslim and worship, and fasting Ramadan has been mentioned, and worshiping and the house, for he who turns to it with repentance, God accepts it. And God the Most High has said (So turn to your Lord and submit to Him before there comes to you from the people a punishment then you cannot be helped that Day eat you this day as you eat in the clear days). God the Great has spoken the truth.
And the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, has said: Islam was built on five: witnessing that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, and establishing the prayer, and giving the Zakah, and fasting Ramadan, and the pilgrimage to the House for he who can afford the way. And this means that fasting is an obligation and worship on every Muslim and worship, and this is what this small girl realized.
The Story: The small girl got up with the attributes of five from her age in the two days of the month of Ramadan, and she had become in the month of Ramadan, for before the fasting she used to learn that the day is not safe without the intention.
Her mother woke her up one morning with happiness and was waiting for her, so she refused the small girl to break her fast, so her mother asked her about the breaking of the fast, and told her that she had become very small in the morning, and she had the permission of the fasting, so the small girl answered her that the month of Ramadan had arrived, after the return of her fasting and she had become in the days of the previous Ramadan, and also his son Ahmed.
The mother rejoiced from the speech of her daughter, and then she put the breakfast food with a pot of it, until when she ate, she said to her small girl what you did this, so if you forget that I am fasting and I eat and drink, I will spend my day, without there being on me a punishment of the day.
The small girl went to her room and prayed to God to eat as she had forgotten, so that she would eat and drink, and then she would spend her day safely and obtain the reward. She did not fast that she was fasting for the day, until the caller called for the prayer. God has grown… God has grown, the small girl woke up and became ready for the prayer, and what did she find until she sought God and said God help me that I am fasting because I had forgotten with breakfast, and as the patient of the Messenger, peace be upon him, had told, that he ate and he was fasting in the clear, and the Messenger said to him, only God fed you and made you drink.
The small girl ended from her prayers, then she went to her room to look from the window, and she was waiting to see why she is not fasting like them, then she entered the night and she did not know what had happened to her that she had seen her mother, and she saw her while telling her that the repentant had set out, so the small girl got up sad and told her that she had fasted the day completely, and she would fast the night also with the help of God.
