The sparrow flew to the wheat threshing floor and went to pick up seeds while she was happy and delighted. She reached the frog and said to him, “Will you play with me, oh my friend the frog?” The frog turned his face away from her while he was sad, but the sparrow approached him and said to him, “What is the matter with you, oh my friend the frog? I see you sad.” The frog said, “Leave me alone for now. I am sad.” But the sparrow would not leave him and kept asking him about the reason for his sadness until he told her the reason.

The frog had wanted to eat from the fruits of a nearby tree, but its branches were high, and his hand was paralyzed and he could not reach its delicious fruits. The sparrow said to him, “Do not grieve. I will help you and fly to the top of the tree and pick for you whatever fruits you desire.”

The frog ate until he was full, then called his friend the sparrow. She came down to him, thanking her and asking her how she rewarded her goodness. She said to him, “It suffices that we have become friends, and whoever does good does not wait for reward.” Days passed, and one day, the sparrow returned to her nest as usual, so she saw a snake sneaking from the nest. The sparrow screamed with sadness: “Go away, oh you snake! Woe to you!”

The snake did not care about the sparrow’s words, destroyed the nest and ate the eggs in it. The sparrow grieved and cried. As for the snake, he moved around one of the branches and went to sleep after he ate and became full, leaving the sparrow crying and thinking what she should do? The sparrow looked at the ground, so she saw on the distance a large leopard sneaking from the tree.

The leopard was exhausted, so he lay under the tree and slept. The sparrow looked at the branch the snake was sleeping on and also looked at the leopard who was sleeping on the ground. She noticed that the branch the snake was sleeping on was directly above the leopard. If she could cut the branch, the snake would fall on the leopard. The sparrow remembered her friend the frog, so she flew quickly to the wheat threshing floor and looked for the frog until she found him. She told him everything that had happened and showed him the idea she had thought could kill the snake.

She asked the frog to go with her to cut the branch the snake was sleeping on. The frog agreed and went with her. When they reached, the frog advanced toward the tree. He found it a difficult and dense tree, so he cut it with ease. When the frog reached the branch the snake was sleeping on, he began to cut the branch with effort and caution.

Suddenly, the branch fell, and with it the snake fell upon the sleeping leopard. The leopard woke up terrified and found the snake before him, so he killed him immediately. The snake the unjust received his punishment. The sparrow thanked her friend the frog and began to gather the straw again to make a new nest and continue life.
