One day, the weather was wonderful and beautiful, characterized by clear skies and stable conditions. From here, the fawn decided to take a stroll alone, far from his herd of deer. Here, his friend advised him not to distance himself from the place where the deer herd was, so the fawn wouldn’t be exposed to any harm.

Despite his friend the fawn’s advice not to distance from the herd, the fawn disregarded his friend’s advice and continued on his path, alongside the sea coast. The fawn was extremely passionate about loving the sea to a severe degree. Indeed, the fawn reached the sea shore and sat there. He began contemplating the consecutive waves that followed each other.

While the fawn was sitting on the sea shore, suddenly he looked and found the sea waves carrying a small fish in their folds, then threw it onto the shore. The fawn remained as he was in his place, contemplating and enjoying that scene. The fawn watched the scene from afar and saw the fish trying to return to the sea, but she couldn’t.

The fish was walking slowly and crawling on the sand, but she was weak and extremely small in size, which made her unable to return to her life in the sea. She began crying on the sand and praying to God to protect her with His protection and save her from destruction.

She would certainly die if she remained a long time without returning to the waters. While the fish was thus, she heard two men talking to each other about hunting deer. One of them said he could hunt the fawn present on the shore.

The fish felt sadness and intense grief about her condition, and also about the fawn’s condition. However, she couldn’t reach him to inform him of what the two men had said. She began moving as much as she could, hoping he would notice her. After a short time passed, the fawn sensed that the fish was suffering on the sands.

Immediately, the fawn headed to the fish to help her. He hadn’t noticed that matter except in that moment. When the fawn reached her, that small fish smiled a wide smile and immediately decided to inform him of the men’s words, so he would return quickly to his home.

But unfortunately, before the fish could speak, the fawn said to her, “I feel your suffering, oh beautiful fish. Don’t bear worry. I’ll help you return to the sea.” The fish rejoiced greatly, then spoke quickly and said, “Thank you, oh good fawn. But let me tell you something before you help me. You need to be very careful. There are two men approaching here. One of them wants to hunt you and is preparing now to do so.” Immediately, the fawn helped the small fish and moved her until she could dive into the sea. He thanked her greatly and hurried back before the hunter could get him.

When he returned, he narrated what happened to his friend and apologized to him, where he hadn’t listened to his advice. His friend didn’t hesitate and accepted his apology. Then he said to him, “Perhaps God, glory and majesty to Him, sent you in that very moment, oh my friend, to save the poor fish. For this reason, God, glory and majesty to Him, saved you from the hunter’s hand.”
