In a distant time, there were three small rabbits on a farmer’s farm. One was gray-colored and was kind and gentle despite his extreme love for eating. The second was black-colored and very skilled but also very quick-tempered and excitable. As for the third, he was white of heart and color as well, and he had good character. His only fault was that he would let his imagination wander as if he lived in the Island of Dreams.

One day, the gray rabbit ate all the carrots the farmer had planted in the garden. The farmer was angry and said, “This rabbit will harm me and make me lose a lot. I must sell him in the market.” The farmer went to the market, a small child saw him, took the gray rabbit, and bought him from the farmer, taking him in a box.

At that time, the other two rabbits didn’t feel the absence of their third friend. They played together in the farm. While playing, the black rabbit knocked over the milk jar during his dance on the kitchen table. When the farmer returned and saw what had happened because of the black rabbit, he said, “What a destructive rabbit!”

“I’ll sell him too in the market.” When he went to the market, a small child met him and took the rabbit from him because of the intelligence and skill he felt toward him. The white rabbit remained alone on the farm. The white rabbit felt a lot of loneliness and boredom. He tried to roam around the house and tried to explore the roof, but he fell into the chimney pipe, and his white fur became black from the chimney dust.

When the farmer returned and saw the rabbit in this state, he said, “This rabbit isn’t clean at all. I’ll sell him in the market.” When he went to the market, a magician saw him and said, “This rabbit is beautiful. I’ll buy him to help me with my magic work.” The magician bought him indeed.

The magician spoke with the rabbit and told him he worked in the theater every day and would help him perform his theatrical shows. He began explaining to him the role he would play. The small rabbit agreed to the magician’s words, but he wasn’t listening seriously to the magician’s words because, as we said, he was very absent-minded.

The next day, the magician went with the rabbit to the theater to perform his magic shows. Among those present at this show were two small children with them were the gray and black rabbits. When the magician started his show with the rabbit.

The rabbit didn’t remember what the magician had told him and didn’t know what to do. The magician was angry with the rabbit and threatened to beat him with the stick. At that moment, the black rabbit ran toward the magician, trying to prevent him from beating his friend. At the same time, the white rabbit was inside the hat.

The magician tried to perform a trick that would bring the rabbit out of the hat. He said, “I know a rabbit who loves eating,” and he took out a piece of chocolate. The gray rabbit shouted and ran quickly toward the chocolate, saying, “I love eating very much.”

The white rabbit heard him and came out of the hat. The audience applauded for the three rabbits, believing that what happened was part of the show. After the show ended, the magician asked the children to keep the rabbits. The children accepted this after understanding that the three rabbits were friends. Every evening, the three rabbits shared in the magic shows in the theater and didn’t leave each other again.
