There was a frog named Fred. Fred the frog was not like other frogs. He loved to eat grass instead of flies, and instead of living in water, he loved to live a life of land and outdoor nature. No one knew what had happened to Fred, but despite their love for flies, they loved Fred.
One day, the older frogs were in a meeting with the other frogs. Everyone agreed that they didn’t like what Fred was doing, so they decided to judge him for his strange actions and send him away. Fred was very sad to leave.
That night, Fred was alone. He didn’t have anyone to tell him good night like the rest of the companions did with each other, and he was also scared and lonely. Then he saw a fox coming from afar along the road. Fred was afraid of this animal because he had never seen a fox before. Then the fox said hello. Fred was shy to say hello but he said it.
Fred talked to the fox, and they kept chatting until he got used to the fox. The fox asked Fred to come with him for dinner. Fred wasn’t sure about this, but he said okay. Fred loved dinner. Then he played with the fox’s cubs in a nice game. Their names were Beaky, Belz, and Stripes. Fred loved them all. They played for a long night, then they all went to bed. The fox made a bed for him among his children. That night, Fred had a strange dream. He was dreaming of his home and felt longing for it, as he had been away from it for a long time.
The next day, he told the fox and his family that he was going to visit his home, as he missed it very much. They were very sad to hear that Fred asked to leave. Then the fox told him that he could take one of the cubs to accompany him on the way, and to keep the friendship between them connected. Fred was happy with this companionship and the fox’s generous gesture, and was pleased to take Beaky, that beautiful beloved cub.
They hugged Fred and embraced him, agreed to meet, then set off. Halfway there, Beaky told Fred that he was hungry. He brought some chicken legs and grass for them to eat. Beaky was very happy with Fred’s company, then they set off again. After some time, darkness fell upon them, so they brought firewood and lit a fire to give them light and keep predatory animals away. They put sleeping bags, and fell into deep sleep.
When they woke up, they found themselves in a beautiful pond. Then Fred noticed that he had reached his homeland. Then he heard his friends talking about him and their longing for him, and that they were ready to defend him against the big frogs, and that this was personal freedom, so let him eat whatever he pleased, as he wouldn’t and wouldn’t harm them.
Fred heard this conversation and was very happy with his friends’ stance. He went to them and told them all about his journey, about the fox who hosted him, about his children and playing with them. Some friends showed disbelief in Fred, so Fred went and brought them Beaky. Beaky and the other frogs played and became friends very quickly. Fred and the fox visited each other a lot, and they all lived happier than ever before.
