In a kingdom from kingdoms, there lived a king named Julan and his minister Al-Ham, who always served him with all loyalty and honesty. One time, there occurred a matter in kingdom, and the king needed a solution for a clever minister, but this time the minister was busy with his own affairs and delayed in coming to king, so the king got angry and decided the punishment of the minister.

For the king there was a cat smart and kind, and he was accustomed to hunting his friends and deceiving them until he catches each one who makes a mistake from them. So the king ordered to punish the minister and kill him in favor of that cat. But the minister requested from the king to forgive the cat only this year before executing the judgment, and apologized to him that he would see the cat and work on serving them until today of resurrection.

So the king agreed to the last request of the minister and ordered the guards to provide for him the cat of the king. And the minister would come to them every day with food and drink and look at them until they eat, then he would clean on their backs and think about their affairs until the cat trusted him and got used to him.

And the minister was doing this this year until the day of executing his punishment arrived. So the king ordered to kill the cat in front of him to punish him a part for his patience, but what happened was that when the cat entered, she looked around the minister and ate his neck then slept under his feet as if she loved him who was raised with him from her smallness.

The king wondered at what he saw and said to the minister: How did this happen, and she didn’t scratch the smart cat? The minister said: Oh my king, I have spent a year looking at her and providing her with food and drink, so she served me beautifully and completed my service to her.

So the king understood what the minister meant and learned that he did not appreciate the minister’s service to him, and when he first planned his punishment without informing him and thanking him for his sincere service of past years, and here the king turned his face away from the minister and from that time began to get rid of every mistake he made to him and served him with all sincerity and love, for the king’s duty became that and won pleasure, and he spread happiness and peace in his kingdom until he was contented with all, and they agreed on his love not with force.

Moral value learned from the story: We must always be thankful to everyone who provides us with service or help, and we must not remember people’s bad deeds and forget their favors until we become stingy with what we did with our hands, for the sincerity of work is rare, so we must protect everyone who is sincere and honest with his service and work on him with kindness.
