It is told that in ancient times, in days of old, a rabbit family lived in a small house in happiness and safety.

The rabbits’ house in summer: In the summer season, a severe drought struck the place. All the grasses dried up and withered. The family suffered severe hunger and found nothing to eat.

The father rabbit searching for food for the family: The father was forced to walk far, searching for food for his family. He went out carrying an old bag to collect whatever food he encountered in the forest.

The fruit-bearing apple tree: After a long walk, he found an apple tree laden with fruit. He began picking the delicious apples and putting them in his bag until it was full. On his way back, he met a mole. He greeted him and asked about his condition. The mole answered: I am very hungry, and I am searching for something to satisfy my hunger.

The generous rabbit: Without hesitation, he took some apples from the bag and presented them to the mole, then continued his way home. In the middle of the way, a hedgehog blocked his path. He greeted him and asked about his condition. The hedgehog answered: My family is starving, and I am searching for something to eat. Without hesitation, the rabbit gave the hedgehog from the apples, enough for him and his family.

The rabbit and the turtle: Then he continued his way, and on his path, he met a turtle. He greeted her and asked about her condition. The turtle answered: I have been searching for something to eat since morning, but without success. Without hesitation, the rabbit opened the bag and presented some apples to the turtle.

The bag tearing and the apples falling: Then he continued his way home. While the rabbit was walking carrying the apples on his back, the old bag tore, and the apples began falling one after another on the road without him noticing.

The generous rabbit’s sadness over the apples: When he reached his house and was about to present the apples to his family, he discovered the bag was empty. He was very sad and thought his effort had gone in vain.

Reciprocating kindness to the generous rabbit and his family: While the family was sitting starving, suddenly the door was knocked. There was the mole carrying some carrots, the hedgehog carrying a basket of mushrooms, and the turtle carrying a head of cabbage. They came to reciprocate the rabbit’s kindness. Thus everyone ate, and no one remained hungry.
