Once there was a small humble mouse. He lived in a residence inside one of the trees. His house appeared very comfortable and spacious, with benches and a beautiful bed surrounded by flowers, and curtains on the window made by spider threads.
When food time came, the field mouse would go out searching for delicious fruits and refreshing water from the river. Later, he would hurry to the green plain to rest under the light of stars. All things brought him happiness.
One evening, his cousin came to visit him from the city. The little mouse brought the food meal for his cousin and prepared him a delicious vegetable soup. But his cousin, who was used to living and eating in the city, spat in the food, wondering: What is this ugly soup?
After several days passed, the city mouse tired of the field life. He decided to invite his cousin the little field mouse to his house in the city to prove to him that his life was better. The field mouse agreed to go with his cousin, and they hurried to the city.
When the field mouse reached the city with his cousin, he felt that the lifestyle was different and difficult. He didn’t find the peace he felt in the field. There were people’s voices, many movements, car noises, and street dirt. He couldn’t breathe calmly except when he reached his cousin’s house.
The house was spacious and beautiful in shape, with a bed made of silk, and had many types of luxury and food. The city mouse brought different types of cheese for them to eat. At night, the city mouse prepared a very delicious feast of delicious meat. But when they went to eat, a large cat’s whiskers appeared to them under the door of the house.
The two mice hurried running to escape. But unfortunately, they fell under the foot of a woman who hit them with a broom with a huge blow. The blow was very severe, causing them to lose consciousness in the middle of the street.
After the little mouse recovered from that blow, he decided to return to his quiet comfortable residence. He understood that life in peace and safety is better than moving to a life of luxury full of difficulties and dangers.
