Loyalty and trust are two of the traits of the believers and important characteristics of a noble man when he remembers that he is entrusted with his neighbor. His goodness increases in the eyes of those around him, as they feel with him that he practices the morals of God and His religion in the earth, so he is not treacherous or oppressive. Trust is the source of his happiness that he spreads among all. If he practices it himself, others will also practice it.

It is mentioned that in ancient times, there was a man who came from Baghdad. His name was Abdullah and he was intending to travel to Mecca. So he closed his workplace in Baghdad and gathered his entire luggage, which was worth a thousand dinars of gold. Abdullah placed it in a small box, made of ceramics and locked it, then placed on it some oils of olives. Abdullah stood up and went slowly on his small box to his old house and told him that he would travel the path of Mecca and do to him the box and said to him: I will leave you this box of olives where you come from the pilgrimage of Umrah and I will return to take it from you, so be with trust and beg God to preserve it.

He said to him: My old man, Belus, well done oh my lord in preserving God. I will treat you well with your box, and you will return with God’s permission safe and sound, and you will find me rich as you placed me with your box.

And Abdullah departed leaving his box in his mother’s house in good. It was not the work of his mother Belus in protecting trust. He went one day to the cupboard where he had placed his mother’s box and wanted to eat olives with it, but after he had removed the olives from the top of the box and turned it a little to take the rest of the olives from it.

But he was surprised by many gold dinars coming out from inside the box one after another, so Belus rejoiced extremely, and when his wife told him about the loss of the olives, he answered her that it was useless and does not get to eating, and he was sorry about what he found from gold dinars inside the box.

And after the passage of a few years, the news of the return of the pilgrim Abdullah from Mecca spread, and when Belus learned that he had arrived extremely happily and was healthy too, he began to think how he could get rid of what he did, and the thought came to him to travel to the market, buy 2 kilos of olives, place them inside the box, leave it inside as if nothing had happened. With the passage of time, the pilgrim Abdullah came to his old mother who did not know that he had opened his box and betrayed the trust he had in him, so when he came with it to his house and opened it then turned it, olives fell from it, and nothing else!

Here the pilgrim Abdullah learned that his mother had betrayed trust, so he went to the judge and sued his mother Belus, who did not find the judge who gave him after he swore that he had not taken anything, and swore by his mother while he did not know how he would give him, and the pilgrim Abdullah went out sad.

The judge went to the market, after this event a few days, and saw a child embodying that deception that he had suffered in the country, and he heard one of them saying to the other: Now I will prove to you that you are a deceiver of trust, if you had left the olives in the box for three years, it must be fresh, not old like the one that I found inside the box, and therefore you are treacherous and sinful and deserve to be punished.

Here the idea came in the mind of the judge and he realized what he had not noticed to him from before. He returned the deception and gave to the pilgrim Abdullah his place where he felt that God had given him guidance, and to his mother Belus the severe punishment for his betrayal of trust.
