It is mentioned that in ancient times, there was a simple farmer living in a house with a small farm that pleases him. He loves her very much and is loyal to her until she brings him from her fruits and he works on selling them in the markets and earning a profit, to spend on his house. The house was attached to it a beautiful garden that includes some of the animals, among them a donkey that works for the farmer and helps him in carrying his loads at the times when he goes out and to the markets, and in the evening returns to sleep inside the garden, besides his friends.

The farmer also had a small rabbit living and playing between the trees of the farm and on the fences and playing over the trees and over the beds, while there was a cunning fox that had no shelter, and he lived every day on his face in attempting to trick from a new victim, so he would sneak to the orchard and steal some figs, then he would go away before seeing the simple farmer.

One day, the cunning fox became hungry and went to the garden, and talked to the donkey and the rabbit, and said to them: Oh my two friends, I am suffering from this evil farmer, and for you a smart cat if you obey me with me, we will get rid of this evil man.

What from the donkey except that he said to him: What is your story, oh cunning fox? The rabbit jumped to him quickly and said to the donkey: Are you crazy? The fox is nothing but a deceiver, and we must not listen to his talk, and go away in fear. And he told him that the fox was a deceiver, so the fox went away from him and told him that he was ready, and there was an agreement of kindness between them, they promised each other that neither of them would harm the other in exchange that they listen to his thought, which would save them from the life of this beautiful orchard with play and happiness and work until evening.

The fox kept trying to seduce them with his words for long times until the donkey and the rabbit accepted the agreement with him, and they all became neighbors like friends, so the fox started talking to them and said to them: Oh my dear good friends, indeed, the owner of this orchard is a greedy man who does not satisfy you with food. You work in his orchard without ease, and like this he harms you. He places the loads on the donkey’s back, makes him walk with it a lot without mercy, and if he finds, he will think about slaughtering the weak rabbit to take his turn with his strength. As for me, I eat you both, and I run from him with cleverness every time, so you will not be in this harsh life of yours, and listen to the plan I designed by myself, it will save the three of us from this great evil. How is this, oh donkey?

The cunning fox answered: You will watch the sunrise, and at this time the farmer will come out from the farm, tired from the work all day. And here the rabbit will jump him and stand in his face, so the farmer will be terrified of the rabbit. And here the donkey will defend himself from him with a strong kick to put him on the ground. As for me, I will comfort you both and I will harm you with my claws, and thus we will have saved from this evil farmer.

In this time, the leopard was sitting on the tree, the beautiful one near the three, and heard all what they said, so he went to inform the owner of the orchard with all he heard, and with this the fox’s evil plan, and in doing so he would save from them all, as he was living in the orchard alone after the man would get rid of them all.

When the orchard owner heard that plan he stood and went to the garden and tied the donkey, and his son told him: But what happened? The fox had done nothing. He was angry, so he jumped on the weak rabbit and bit him, stood on the ground and started to take some dust from his mouth. The farmer thought he came but just he had moved away from him, until he opened his eyes and ran away quickly from the orchard, and escaped from the traps of the evil farmer, and thus we find that the rabbit was the one who warned the fox’s deceiver for his plan.
