Long ago, there was a poor couple living together. They didn’t have any offspring except a small hut they lived in and a small piece of land they survived from. They would build it and rely on earning their living from fruits growing on it.
But what happened wasn’t according to expectations. One day, his wife became severely ill and went to work alone in the small hill, starting work, and she felt in her belly an intense beating. When she struck with her hand, she looked to see what it was, and there was a gold piece of pure gold.
The wife felt extremely happy, took the piece and tied it with cloths she was wearing. The next day, the wife went to the hill and did as she did with the first piece. She found some gems and jewelry, so she kept going out every day to work without informing her husband of anything.
Therefore, the monkeys would steal fruits and vegetables from the garden and not return them. The wife had hidden the matter from her husband. She wouldn’t inform him until he discovered their matter for those monkeys, and she remained silent. She would go out every day to work without her husband’s noticing her in anything.
One day, she found a piece of gold. She held it in her hand and it was extremely light, especially with its sun heat radiating. While she was holding it, she heard a voice saying to her: There is no one who will protect you today, and you’ll have a lot of monkeys as long as you don’t inform anyone.
The woman went to work until the fourth day, especially with continued improvement of her husband’s illness and as usual she found two gold pieces and gold piece that came. She hid everything she had collected in a place far away from her husband’s reaching. After noon, the woman felt hunger, so she prepared some food and started preparing vegetables to cook vegetables.
While she was doing that, she heard the same voice saying to her: After finishing vegetables work, you must light fire and search for sticks, you’ll find a piece of gold, and after that the voice disappeared quickly. The woman lit fire and searched for sticks, and actually found a piece of gold.
She took it and returned quickly to the house at a time earlier than usual. Her husband tried it and asked her about the secret, and what is she hiding in her cloths, so she couldn’t seal her pocket. And she told her husband everything about monkey’s story.
The husband rejoiced greatly to hear these news, and felt that happiness and good fortune became between his hands. He asked his wife not to inform anyone with that story ever again, and let the matter remain a secret. But when she recovered from her illness and went to the village to chat with her friends, he couldn’t hold what he heard nor could tell them of the secret. And that’s only a short time and rumor spread in the village, until all the leaders began searching in the ground for the monkey, but they never found it ever, and they didn’t find any gold or pieces.
They then thought that this man was deceiving them and his wife, for they were both poor, and perhaps this was their fate for a long time without anyone knowing about monkey’s matter ever.
