After people used to use him as a means of transportation, the day came when he used means of transportation. He realized with full awareness that his intelligence and cunning would lead him to this result one day. He felt extreme happiness as he saw the desert disappearing behind him and turning to gray color, with wide green lands on both sides. The camel took a long breath, feeling absolute happiness he had never tasted throughout his life.

The car carrying the camel was moving at very high speed. He felt as if he were driving it himself, which reminded him of camel races he had participated in once in his youth. He would have won had he not stumbled on a rock and fallen to the ground. After that, he didn’t enter any other races and began reducing his normal speed so he wouldn’t be among the distinguished ones entering the races.

While traveling, the camel glimpsed a cart loaded with many things, pulled by a weak, old donkey. The camel began mocking the donkey and laughing at him until the donkey cried from the camel’s mockery and the words of ridicule he heard. But he didn’t respond to him and continued walking slowly, confident in his steps, for he believed in the saying that dogs bark and the caravan moves on.

Because of the speed of the car carrying the camel, the donkey and his cart disappeared from his sight. The camel stopped his mockery and began thinking about the reason people gave this name to the donkey. He thought that he himself had also tried to have his owner load him beyond his capacity.

But because of his tricks and cunning, he wouldn’t submit to their commands. He would pretend to be sick or that he had stumbled on a rock while carrying things. He would fall, and what was on his back would fall, causing his owner great losses from damaging his merchandise. For this reason, the camel’s owner stopped relying on him.

The camel said to himself, “Praise God, I’ve gotten rid of the miserable life I’ve been living all my life. Now I’ll live a life of luxury and find someone to pamper and be kind to me.” The car stopped suddenly in front of a huge building. The camel imagined this would be his new home.

The driver took the camel out of the car. He felt extreme joy at the cleanliness of the place where he would stay and its green, decorated grounds. He felt even happier when a man who appeared kind came with a bucket of red paint and a brush and began painting the camel red and decorating him. After that, the man left, and the driver closed the door of the automatic slaughterhouse on the camel, for his owner had decided to sell him after feeling there was no benefit from his existence except to be slaughtered.
