In a small village at the foot of a mountain lived Hamid, who worked as a shepherd for the villagers. Every morning, Hamid would take the sheep to the mountain to graze and play, then return them to the village in the evening. One day, Hamid felt bored and wanted to amuse himself by playing a prank on the villagers.

He began to shout and cry out for help: “Help! Help me! There’s a wolf that wants to devour your sheep!” Naturally, the villagers rushed to rescue the sheep from the wolf, but when they reached the foot of the mountain, they discovered that Hamid was joking with them. They returned to the village annoyed by his heavy joke.

After several days, Hamid repeated the prank, shouting: “Help! Help me! There’s a wolf that wants to devour your sheep!” When they discovered his lie, the villagers became angry with him and began calling him “the liar.” One day, while the shepherd was in the mountain, suddenly a large, massive wolf appeared from among the rocks and attacked the sheep to devour it. Hamid cried out calling for help from the villagers, saying: “Help! Help me! Help!” But this time, no one came to rescue him, and the wolf was able to devour the sheep. Hamid lost his job and the villagers’ trust in him, and he learned never to use lies, even as a joke.
