It is told that in ancient times, king of country died. When ministers felt his death had approached, they sought help of one of his close ministers who trusted him much and served with him as two young ministers stood before him.
Older minister said to him: Oh young minister, you know my son is still a small child, doesn’t know world matters like his peers. I want you to teach him and be his guardian until he becomes capable of ruling. Young minister promised king to remain faithful to prince, care for him even if matter becomes difficult.
Inside palace were many treasures prince didn’t know anything about. When king died, prince asked minister to give him all those treasures, so minister sent prince with keys he hadn’t opened for him for a long time for fear of white magic.
In that box was picture of beauty and elegance of princess daughter of Golden Palace owner. Kings used to fear for his daughter that he would fall in her love and would come to her from those difficulties and troubles.
Prince couldn’t bear strong love due to that charming picture. He ignored all minister’s warnings and insisted on entering box. Indeed, when prince entered and laid his eyes on beautiful picture of princess, fell deeply in love from her beauty. He had loved her much and thought he was ruined without her.
When prince recovered from his faint, minister asked about identity of this beautiful picture and requested him to know everything about her. Minister told him she was daughter of Golden Palace owner. Whatever lived on gold, her palace is gold, her ornaments are gold, and she loves gold much and does anything she likes.
Prince asked minister to travel to land of Golden Palace owner to meet that princess he loved so much. Minister thought a little and said: Well, my lord, but before traveling we must take gold stored in your pockets, carve them into shapes of birds and plants and trees to present them to princess of Golden Palace.
Prince ordered to bring clothes and carved many beautiful shapes from gold. After that, prince traveled in disguise with minister, his minister, and some of his servants. When they arrived at shore of Golden Palace owner land, minister whispered an idea to him.
He asked prince to wait a while with his luggage, and took most beautiful of his luggage from chest. When they arrived at shore of Golden Palace owner, they found a large box with huge wings flying with them in sea. Minister told prince: Jump oh my lord upon these two wings as you may upon them, but if you fall your brothers will catch you.
Prince jumped and indeed two wings carried him flying in sky with great speed. King of country died after prince’s departure, and chaos occurred, and king’s minister took rule and people suffered.
Prince returned to country, removed minister from rule, ruled with justice, and people returned to peace. Days passed, and princess gave birth to three healthy sons, loved them greatly, but he wasn’t happy himself due to losing minister.
One day, he was talking with statue asking: Oh statue, I can help you to live life again? Statue answered him: You can. Prince asked him: How is this? Statue answered him: Leave your family and your good children, never come to them again, so it’s possible to transfer them to Golden Palace owner, serve them, and take from them whatever you want. Prince was extremely sad at this but said to himself: No minister, but I’ve been in need of ministers from long time.
He decided to do what minister told him. Suddenly, statue turned to man, minister returned to himself, and prince rejoiced greatly but wondered what had happened. Minister told him story of eagle: This poor minister is trapped in eagle form, and kings died. Minister laughed much but he caught lie of eagle. Eagles exist in his stomach died, kings died.
Minister listened carefully to eagles’ talk, kept everything they told as preparation to rescue prince and princess. But what pained him most from this talk was that from prince’s death he would turn into one of treasures.
Boat landed on shore of country, minister landed, and indeed eagles’ talk happened as there was a large box with huge wings flying with them in sea. When prince saw him, he decided to ride upon them, but minister warned him, seized eagle, broke it in sea’s stomach, so he died.
Some of prince’s servants hated minister, prince’s praise of him, and they started being jealous of minister’s honor. But prince didn’t listen to them as he was bound by minister’s loyalty.
Prince continued until he arrived at Golden Palace, and there saw golden box. While he was wearing it, minister removed it from his hand and threw it into sea. Prince was angry at minister’s deed but didn’t accept him due to old loyalty. Minister told him everything that happened to princess and story of three eagles. Prince forgave him but after long years, after he learned minister died when he fell on ground and turned into one of treasures.
Prince was extremely sad at his minister’s disloyal and ordered servants to bring statue to his treasury. Days passed, and princess gave birth to three little sons, healthy ones loved greatly but what pained him was losing minister.
One day, he was talking to his statue saying: Oh my statue, I can help you to live life again? Statue answered him: You can. Prince asked him: How is this? Statue told him: Leave your wife and your good children, never come to them again. It’s possible to transfer them at Golden Palace owner, serve them, and take from them whatever you want. Prince was extremely sad but said to himself: No minister, but I’ve been in need of ministers from long time.
He decided to do what minister told him. Suddenly, statue turned to man, minister returned to himself, and prince rejoiced greatly but wondered what had happened. So minister told him: Good deeds return, and I intended to save your family quickly from this disaster. Allah rewarded your good intention and returned you to life without losing your family. Thus, prince and princess lived in eternal happiness with minister living happily serving young children.
