It is told that one day there was a beautiful dark-skinned girl with beautiful features and a slender figure named Morning Pearl who lived in one of the African forests with her two brothers Kahrman and Marjan. A quiet, beautiful river passed by Morning Pearl’s hut, surrounded by large trees.

Morning Pearl loved her quiet home and her brothers Kahrman and Marjan, but she wished her skin color would become pure white. Her neighbor Um Jaafar had told her about the Silver River. The Silver River turned the color of anyone who passed by it to white. Therefore, Morning Pearl wanted to go to it.

One day, Kahrman and Marjan decided to go on a hunting trip. They prepared their hunting gear and told their sister Morning Pearl that they would be away from home for a few days hunting. Morning Pearl asked her brothers to take her with them on the trip, but they refused because the trip might be dangerous, and she might be harmed by some predatory animals. But Morning Pearl insisted on her request.

Her brother Kahrman asked her why she insisted on going out with them this time. Morning Pearl answered him that she wanted to search for the Silver River that Um Jaafar had told her about to transform her dark skin to white. Kahrman laughed at Morning Pearl’s words and told her that this talk was just myths with no basis in truth.

Kahrman and Marjan set off on their trip, but Morning Pearl said to herself that her neighbor Um Jaafar was an elderly lady who had passed through many experiences in life, and her talk about the Silver River must be true.

Morning Pearl decided to go herself to search for the river. She first went to her neighbor Um Jaafar and asked her if she had seen the Silver River with her own eyes. Um Jaafar answered her that she hadn’t gone to it before, but the Knight of the Forest knew its way.

Morning Pearl walked in the forest until she saw a huge person hunting in the forest. She asked him: Are you the Knight of the Forest? He answered: Yes, I am the Knight of the Forest. Who are you and what do you want from me? She answered: My name is Morning Pearl, and I want you to guide me to the place of the Silver River.

He said to her: Well, I will guide you to its place, but on the condition that you cook this rabbit for me first. Morning Pearl cooked the rabbit for the Knight of the Forest. When the Knight of the Forest ate it, he was very impressed with Morning Pearl’s cooking, but he didn’t guide her to the place of the river. Morning Pearl spent that night in the open air next to the Knight of the Forest’s hut, hoping he would guide her to the place of the Silver River.

The next day, the Knight of the Forest brought more hunting and asked Morning Pearl to cook it. Morning Pearl kept cooking food for him and sleeping in the open air until she was tired. She learned that he wouldn’t guide her to the place of the river, so she decided to return to her hut.

When the Knight of the Forest learned she would leave, he refused and tied her to one of the trees so she wouldn’t leave and would continue preparing the delicious food. Morning Pearl started crying. When Kahrman and Marjan returned from their trip searching for Morning Pearl in the hut and didn’t find her, they went to Um Jaafar’s hut to ask about Morning Pearl. Um Jaafar told them she had gone to search for the Knight of the Forest.

Kahrman and Marjan searched in the forest until they heard Morning Pearl crying. They hurried to her and untied her, then returned her to the house. Morning Pearl apologized to her brothers because she learned she had made a mistake when she went out alone from the hut to search for the Silver River.

Kahrman and Marjan forgave Morning Pearl and asked her not to think about these myths again because she was beautiful despite her dark skin, and she shouldn’t think about changing it because it was created by God. Morning Pearl was convinced and returned to her happy life.
