There was once a boy named Jack who lived with his mother. They owned only a single thin cow that did not give much milk. The mother asked Jack to take the cow to the market to sell it because they did not have enough money to feed it. Jack headed to the market. On the way, a man met him and asked him where he was going with that cow. Jack answered: I am going to the market to sell it as my mother requested.

The man said to him: I will buy it from you in exchange for those magic beans. The man gave Jack a group of bean seeds and told him they were magic beans. Jack returned to his mother. She asked him: Did you sell the cow? He answered her: Yes, I sold it. The mother asked him about the money he had sold the cow for. He told her what had happened and gave her the bean seeds.

The mother became angry and agitated, and she threw the seeds out of the window. They fell into the garden of the house. Jack was very sad because he had angered his mother and lost their only cow in exchange for some beans. Jack went to his bed without eating his dinner and kept crying until sleep overcame him.

In the morning, when Jack woke up, he noticed the presence of something strange beside the window of his room. He went to look from the window and found that a giant bean seed had grown in the garden of their house. Jack was amazed and climbed the plant. He kept climbing until he found something strange before him. He had found a giant palace above the bean plant. Jack entered the palace to see what was inside it. He found a group of skeletons guarding a giant beast. The beast was asleep when Jack entered.

But when the skeletons saw Jack, they made some sounds to alert the giant, so he woke from his sleep. Jack immediately fled and hid behind one of the chairs. The giant began searching in the palace but did not find Jack. He went to the kitchen, ate a lot of meat, then took out a bag of gold coins from his pocket and placed them on the table, then returned and entered deep sleep.

Jack quickly went out, took the bag of money, and quickly descended returning to his house. He gave his mother the bag of gold coins. The mother was amazed and asked Jack where he had brought those coins from. He told her what had happened. The mother was amazed but happy with the money.

Jack was happy because he had brought the money. The next day, he returned and climbed the plant again and entered quietly. He found the giant asleep, but when Jack entered, the skeletons made some sounds that woke the giant. He began searching in the palace but also did not find anything. He went to the kitchen, ate meat, then returned and brought a chicken and placed it on the table. He said to it: Come on, lay a golden egg. The chicken laid a golden egg, so he took it and put it in the golden egg basket.

Jack waited until the giant slept, took the chicken, and quickly descended to his house. He gave it to his mother, who was very happy with it. Therefore, Jack decided to go to the giant’s house again. The next day, Jack climbed the plant, but this time he found the giant awake and playing on a harp. Jack was impressed with the sound of the harp, so he hid until the giant slept. He tried to take the harp, but it was a magical harp, so it screamed with a loud voice: Save me, oh master! He is trying to steal me.

The giant woke up and began chasing Jack. Jack climbed the plant and descended returning to his house. The giant followed him. Jack quickly picked up an axe and cut the bean plant. The giant fell and died. Jack and his mother moved to a new house and bought a farm with many cows, and they lived happily.
