The colored bird heard about a city full of letters located behind the sea. He flapped with his wings and flew seeking that city. Despite smallness of the sea, it appeared to him like a big sea. But he kept flying until he spotted on the opposite shore a large stone gate with many letters engraved on it. Before it stood two guards at full readiness, placing large trumpets.

The bird entered from under the gate and greeted the two letters with his head and walked inside. The gardens on both sides of the road were planted with plants, but their shapes weren’t usual. He turned to some of them and found vines made of beautiful letters like letters of Waw, Sad, and Ha. Suddenly, he found himself before a large square paved with flowers and filled with games. The bird stood astonished, contemplating the letters. Letters Jim and Ha were riding horses, and letter Nun was riding on a swing, being pushed by letter Waw with his large head.

Letters Ba, Ta, and Tha were holding on to each other’s tails and riding forming a train. Letter Ya descended to the water pool and began swimming like a frog, followed by small Yas like chicks. As for the rest of the letters, they chose a large ball and began playing as if with the ball. The little bird was happy and loved participating with them in their play, but he didn’t know name of any letter among them.

Then he heard a voice calling him saying: Why do you stand alone, oh bird? Come and play with us. The bird looked and saw letter Ya and said: Thank you, but I’m a stranger and don’t know anyone. He said to him: This isn’t a problem. My name is Ya. Your friend Ya. Then he said: Welcome, and he replied: May God increase your honor. Welcome, so I can introduce you to my friends. The bird went behind letter Ya heading toward the middle of the square where the letters gathered around them both. Then he said: I will introduce you to the names of my friends, the twenty-eight letters in order.

This is our friend Hamza. The bird said: Welcome. And this is our friend letter Alif. The bird said: Alif, what God wills, he reminds me of a cypress tree. Letter Alif smiled and said: Indeed, I’m so tall that some describe me as arrogant, but I don’t get angry at them because they play with me. Letter Ya said: Let’s complete the introductions. This is letter Ba, followed by letter Ta, Tha, Jim, Ha, Kha, Dal, Dhal, Ra, Zai, Sin, Shin, Sad, Dad, Ta, Dha, Ain, Ghain, Fa, Qaf, Kaf, Lam, Mim, Nun, Ha, Waw, and finally letter Ya.

And naturally, there are many repeated letters playing with us. The colored bird rejoiced and began playing with them, calling them by their names, flying with them and returning them, and laughter rose high. Time passed quickly, and the sun disappeared slowly. Then the bird asked permission from his friends to depart. After thanking them, before leaving, letter Ba stood and said: Wait, oh bird. You cannot depart before we give you a name we will remember you by whenever we play. The bird welcomed the idea, and they gave him the name Babgha. The colored bird was happy and said: It’s a beautiful name. The bird departed and decided to return to them again.
