Once upon a time, oh happy and honorable ones, in an old forest filled with dense trees and wonderful colored flowers, there was in that forest a rabbit extremely cheerful. He loved to practice sports a lot, as he was also fond of cleanliness. Every day, he would clean his house and arrange his room. He always repeated with pride: “There is no house in the entire forest cleaner than my house. Look how my house is arranged, wonderful, and clean!” And he wished to win a prize for the best house in the old forest.
One day, the red rooster passed with his beautiful shape and began to crow so that everyone would wake up early. The rooster was walking in lightness, liveliness, happiness, and vitality. When he passed by the rabbit’s house, he greeted him and said to him: “How wonderful your house, oh clean rabbit! Your house is complete in everything: arrangement, cleanliness, and sweet scent. You must win the prize for the most beautiful house in the forest.”
The beautiful rooster walked in his path, and the rabbit accompanied him until they reached Bear Dabdoub’s house. They found he had not woken up yet, for he was extremely lazy. The rooster began to crow, but without benefit. The rooster got angry at Bear Dabdoub, so the rules of the forest king required everyone to wake up early.
The rooster and the rabbit began crowing and calling together to Bear Dabdoub, and he was not responding to them. Suddenly the rabbit heard the sound of the bear groaning from pain with severe weakness and trying to seek help. The rooster and the rabbit hurried to him and found Bear Dabdoub on the ground, almost dying from pain, and his eyes filled with tears. They asked him what had happened to him.
Bear Dabdoub replied to them with sadness and severe pain: “My stomach hurts me severely. So ask me what I ate. They noticed the presence of an extremely foul odor in the corners of his house. They blamed him for leaving his house neglected and not clean to that degree. He replied to them, saying: “I have not cleaned my house for several days, and laziness afflicted me. I did not go to the fishing place to get and eat fish. Rather, I ate a fish that had been in the house for several days.”
The rooster and the rabbit felt distress about Bear Dabdoub and warned him about leaving the house like that. They said to him in one voice: “You must clean your house always, so that you are not exposed to diseases.” The bear took the medicine and rested a little. Then the rooster and the rabbit resumed saying, “Come, let us clean the house together. Surely, your pain will end with cleanliness, or else you will get sick day after day.” The bear regretted and realized he was wrong and must clean his house every day.
After cleaning the entire house, each of them went to his work, realizing well the importance of cleanliness.
