There was a white cat called Zaytuna, a black cat called Sudani, a brown cat called Ben Ben, and their friend had a dog with a large mustache called Shanbu. The white cat said to his friends what do you think if we go on a trip to the largest desert in the world? So Sudani said a sandy desert or a frozen desert? He replied to him and said the desert is an arid region where the percentage of rain is very low, which makes living conditions very difficult there for animals and trees.
Approximately one-third of the land area on our planet is occupied by deserts, they may be frozen and the largest is Antarctica, or hot and the largest of them is the Great Desert in the northwest of the African continent. So Sudani said beautiful then let’s go to the Great Desert. Thus the friends set off on their journey to the Great Desert until their vehicle broke down near a caravan of men. The white cat said there is a stream of dunes, so they got down and rode the camels. Ben Ben the cat said this hump is annoying. The white cat replied to him and said the camel stores fats in its hump where it covers long distances in the desert without food.
So the brown cat said why does this camel have one hump? I see camels with two humps on television. The white cat replied there are two breeds of camels living on earth, the Arabian camel has one hump and another breed living in the Gobi desert near China has two humps. The friends continued walking until they reached an oasis, so they decided to rest there and took an exploratory tour on foot in the area surrounding it.
There was water in the middle of the desert, so the white cat said this collection of water is called an oasis and this water comes from rivers running underground or from underground water reservoirs where water reaches the surface due to the pressure of those rivers or reservoirs.
During the friends’ march, a severe sandstorm surprised them that threw them in various directions. The friends chose the way back to the oasis and kept searching for water or a way out of that vast desert, and they kept calling for help. The friends suffered from extreme thirst and Ben Ben suggested extracting water from the cactus plant. He took out a saw from his bag and they and Shanbu started cutting the cactus. As for Zaytuna, she was surprised by a giant gerbil looking at her and said it seems I have been struck by sunstroke.
Zaytuna convinced her friends to ride on the back of those jerboas, and they set off without any of them knowing their destination. They said what are these strange creatures that resemble mice? They said these are giant jerboas. Jerboas are usually very small and are very social, living in burrows in groups underground. The jerboas took the friends to their colony underground. Zaytuna lit her flashlight because she hated darkness, so she said this is better, and when they reached the king of the colony, he said we need your help because the king is sick.
So the jerboa said let’s go to our friend the desert fox, for he is the cleverest of animals in the desert, and the jerboas took the friends to the desert fox where he was lying under the shade of a rock to avoid the sun’s heat.
He said to them you will not be able to infiltrate the desert scorpion because small hairs cover his body that help him feel the smallest vibrations, so they said we must deceive him, so make a puppet and deceive him to sting it. Thus Zaytuna made a puppet from pieces of cloth and made a red bag in the shape of a heart to collect the poison when the scorpion stings the puppet. Ben Ben moved the puppet until the scorpion stung the puppet, then the friends pulled the puppet and took the bag containing the scorpion’s poison and returned quickly to their friend Sudani and made the antidote for the king of the jerboas to heal him from the symptoms of poisoning. After several minutes, the king of the jerboas recovered and invited the friends to eat food.
He thanked them for saving his life and said we will help you get out of this desert, and the friends reached their home, so they washed up and drank milk and all fell into a deep sleep…
